Currently KYAL plays all its games on a 46/60 field. The 46 stands for the number of feet from home plate to the pitching rubber. The 60 stands for the distance between the bases. 50/70 simply means the field is larger. The field change would only effect the Major boys games. All other divisions will continue to play on the 46/60 field.

This change would mean all 11's and 12's would play in the majors and all 10's would remain in AAA. The change would allow the major teams to take leads, steal when the pitch has the ball, and pickoff baserunners. The change would provide the players with a transition from the 46/60 field to the 60/90 field. This jump happens when the kids graduate from KYAL and play middle school ball.
