When are the tournament teams selected?

The teams will be selected near the 3rd Tuesday in May.

How are the teams selected?

The coaches from the Division in which the age group plays in votes on the tournament team players. Each team votes for 10 players, and they may not vote for a player on their team. The top 12 vote getters make the team.

Are the rules the same?

For the most part the rules are the same. Each tournament has exceptions to rules. You would have to ask your coach what the exceptions are at each tournament.

How many tournaments do we play in?

Kimberton allows a tournament team to register for 3 tournament ( 1 may be a Kimberton Tournament ) and Districts. If you happen to win Districts, you can play in States. If you win States, you advance to Regionals and if you happen to win Regionals you could advance to the World Series. Typically you play between 3 and 4 tournaments each year.

What ages have a tournament team?

Kimberton has a tournament team for the following ages: 8, 9, 10, 11, & 12

To be eligible for the 8 year old tournament team your child must have played in the AA division during the regular season.

To be eligible for the 9 year old tournament team your child must have played in the AA division during the regular season.

To be eligible for the 10-12 year old tournament team your child must have played in the Major division during the regular season.
